De Clercq is named after the street where its frame was found. The steel was black and damaged, until it was repaired and sprayed in matte gold. The marble top came from an old barn. Together they became a coffee table: a new combination of two forgotten pieces. The marble carries some stains that unfortunately no longer come out. But they are part of its second life, and give it character.
